Sustainability - our future depends on it
The world is changing. Industry is putting more emphasis and more effort into better managing natural resources and lowering its global ecological footprint, thereby enhancing its contribution to society. Companies everywhere are identifying and managing areas which will provide long-term, sustainable opportunities for their activities. But it’s not just about earning our license to operate. The health of our global economy, society and environment is dependent upon sustainability becoming part of our DNA – if we want a sustainable world tomorrow, we must act today.
If you are as convinced as we are that accelerating sustainability into your supply chains will contribute to earning or strengthening your license to operate, then you can’t afford to miss this congress.
IDH, AkzoNobel and NEVI are working together to inspire and empower corporate leaders and managers to accelerate the mainstreaming of social and environmental sustainability into their supply chains.
The program focuses on sustainability being a requirement for today’s and tomorrow’s business success. It will showcase successful profitable examples with leading-edge speakers including Bert Koenders – Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation, Frank Heemskerk – Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Hans Wijers – CEO of AkzoNobel.
Leading representatives from several Dutch multinationals, such as
Howard Yana-Shapiro (Global Director of Plant Science and External
Research of Mars) and Ton Geurts (CPO of AkzoNobel and CPO of the
Year 2008) will also be addressing delegates, while the congress will
offer insights from members of prestigious NGOs, including Jason Clay
(Senior Vice-President of Market Transformation at the WWF).
Please mark November 2, 2009, in your diaries now and register for the congress. Attending the congress is free of charge and is limited to 600 participants.
We look forward to seeing you there.
